nOtice.org - the open journalism kit 

 

...was opened to the public today! It looks pretty interesting and for users with a little bit of tech experience using the documentation should be fairly easy. nOtice.org is The Guardian's baby and has already been tested on some of their projects (the above visual comes from this one).

I am really looking forward to see few hyperlocal projects implementing this solution for their own needs. I think it could be use for project like the Wikipedia mapping out of towns (see the first example here) or simply for personal or group citizen journalism projects.
