How does the web change the life of our kids?!

Just when I started rambling about Google algorithm on Twitter (I do feel it really restricts my free access to information) they announced their new collection, Ocean. I am astonished how pretty it is and how amazing it will be for my son! Just now that he is starting to read his own books and moving to more exciting topics (Quest Beast is so much fun for boys his age!) I think it is also time to show him browsing on the web. I wish we had Google when I was his age! 
Do you browse the web with your kids? When is the right age to start?
