WiseStamp's apps for causes!

Yes, I am very excited though maybe it's nothing new!? I was so busy with the Barcamp Nonprofits and work recently that I have stopped experimenting with social tools for a while. I missed out on linking to posts within Storify and now this! Wisestamp social email signature is offering apps for supporters of few causes. I was updating my email signatures today when I noticed it. There are few charities out there that I believe are very innovative in the field of on-line social engagement so I was happy to find two of them in the apps - Charity Water and currently supported by our family WWF!

So how does it work? Well, first you will need to install the Wisestamp in your browser - trust me, it's worth it. Then once you start creating your email signature check out the apps for "causes" tab.

Above you can see the editor, below app area itself:

Now, once you edit the app itself your email signature with host the banner of your favourite cause with social links, donaiton button, but also link to the wisestamp cause itself to allow your email contacts do the very same thing - support their cause in email signature with just few clicks. Here is how my signature looks like now:

Why am I so excited? Well, it's just a brillinat idea for nonprofit fundraising, for raising awareness around your cause and for positioning yourself as a cause-friendly individual. Perfect solution for all so again - WHY NOT?!;)

Facebook Timeline Cover - Good Tip to Promote Your Brand

I was tempted to relate this blog post to nonprofits but I think this idea is good for any brand - Facebook timeline covers! It might seem obvious yet I am really glad to see some really good case studies of how this area of Facebook can be used for creative engagement around your brand or organisation. I am personally supporting WWF this year so you can imagine how happy I was to see their fan page tab with timeline covers;) We all like to customise our devices and on-line spaces so why not to make it easy for the fans of your brand and provide them with few visuals to use on the same network?

Here is the area I took my cover from:

Here is the end result (all took about 10 sec):

Voice Social Media Breakfast - now on YouTube

It has been slowly 2 years since I started those virtual events. From chat - which was at the time the best forum for this group discussion - we have moved to Google+ Hangouts and today we have our notes for you...on YouTube. Our kind friend, Michael Tucker has spend his evening last night (11AM GMT) recording our session for us and live-streaming it too and this evening we have it uploaded to YouTube too - for you reference.

Next time we will use Bambuser, just to see if we can improve on the image quality, though I think considering the fact that Google+ does not allow direct upload to YouTube this is a great achievement! Enjoy - it's longish but it has some really good case studies there for social good and tech.
